Off to Hogwarts!

"Come on Peter!" Lucy yelled as she ran along the train.
Susan walked calmly, watching Lucy with a smile.

Peter chuckled, hauling their luggage with his never-wavering smile. "I'm coming, Lu, I'm coming."
Edmund rolled his eyes sourly. "She could at least try to grow up," he muttered.

"Be nice, Edmund. She's excited," Susan scolded.
Lucy grinned happily. "Look at it, Peter! It's so beautiful! So bright, and red!" she said excitedly.

"You've seen it every year since Peter started," Edmund snarked.
"Edmund," Peter admonished, satisfied as his brother shut his trap for once.

Lucy's smile dropped and she got quiet.
"It's alright Lucy, you can go ahead and be excited," Susan said.

Peter nodded. "Go on, Lu, we'll catch up," he encouraged, turning to hiss at Edmund when she turned away.

Lucy raced onto the train and found the perfect compartment for all of them. She leaned out the window. "I found the best compartment!" she yelled to her siblings.
"Peter," Susan said, stepping in front of Edmund.

"We'll join you in a second!" Peter called, then turned, confused, to Susan. "What?"

"What he's doing is not right, but he's still just a boy," she said. "You have to be gentler."

"Oh, and when you were left in charge, being gentler worked, did it?" Peter returned, folding his arms.

Susan pursed her lips. "Come along, Ed," she said and pushed past Peter to lead Edmund onto the train.
"Peter! Come on!" Lucy called.

Peter sighed, hauling all four trunks onto the train. "Coming, coming."

Susan found the compartment Lucy was in and sat across from her, patting the spot next to her for Edmund.
Lucy smiled happily and waited for Peter, leaving the spot next to her open.

Peter hauled the trunks in and stored them overhead before sitting down next to Lucy.

Lucy smiled at her older brother.

Peter smiled at her.

"I'm going to Hogwarts!" she said happily.

"Yeah," Peter chuckled, ignoring Edmund rolling his eyes.

"I wonder what house I'll be sorted into," Lucy asked.
"The best one for you," Susan replied, reading her book.

"Snaky slimy Slytherin," Edmund leered.
"Ed," Peter admonished sharply.

Lucy glared at him. "Just because you're in Slytherin, doesn't mean I will be," she said.
Susan sighed.

"Creepy crawly Slytherin," Edmund continued.
"Edmund!" Peter interrupted.

Lucy glared at Edmund.
"Ed, enough, please," Susan said.

"Spooky, scary, Slytherin," Edmund ignored them both.
"Edmund!" Peter shouted.

Lucy stood, glaring at her brother before running out of the compartment.
"Edmund!" Susan shouted at the same time as Peter.
